POSITION: Deli & Prepared Foods Clerk
STATUS: Full-0time, Non-exempt
SALARY: $11.00 - $17.00 / Hour Depending on Experience and Match with the Company with Opportunities for Advancement
DIRECTS: Report: Deli & Prepared Foods Manager

Tasks and Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide world-class customer service with an upbeat attitude

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold foods, including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, wraps, salads, juices, and smoothies
  • Prepare food for and stock grab ‘n’ go cases
  • Help increase sales and profitability by following procedures, “upselling” products, and minimizing loss 
  • Help to check in and keep organized all department products, check expiration dates, and ensure proper rotation
  • Follow all state, federal, and store safety, and sanitation procedures, ensuring compliance with Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and positive work environment

This full-time position requires open availability and the ability to work up to 40 hours per week and more at times as required by Grubb’s Grocery’s business needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

You must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of up to 4 hours without a break. Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend to lift loads, acceptable for the physical requirements of the job, unassisted. Push and pull carts unassisted. The ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness and to check signage and labeling for accurate pricing.
